Art Market and World Restaurant

You can buy original artistic goods and eat and drink international foods.
There are some things that you can ONLY get at Art Town. The distinctive tastes of Art Town will linger in your mouth for days!

Face Painting (FREE!)

This event is extremely popular every year!
Become a new character for a day at Art Town!

Time:

Saturday, August 27 from 12 noon to 9pm
Sunday, August 28 from 10am to 9pm
There will be people available to paint faces at these times:
Saturday, August 27 from 12 noon to around 6pm
Sunday, August 28 from 10am to around 5pm

Stamp Rally

If you collect stamps from the 5 different locations around Art Town, you will be able to make a picture.
Bring it to the main desk for a prize when you are done!

Notes: Use the Art Town program to collect the stamps.
We have prepared 500 prizes per day. Hurry up and get your stamps before the prizes run out!

Tree Art (300 yen)

Make your own!
You can make your own masterpiece with pieces of wood and other natural items.
Try making a letter rack or a painted plate. You can keep these ones when you finish!

Craft Area

Art Work

Tsukuba City Society of Commerce and Industry Art will keep your art work and display it at next year's festival. We treat these objects as items in a special Art Town time capsule. We display them every year to show the special memories from the participants at each Art Town event. Our collection gets bigger every year!
The wood that we will be using is scrap wood that was found around Tsukuba. If we didn't use it in our art projects, it would just become garbage. We believe in the conservation of our natural environment and we can see the connection between conservation and the creative powers of art.
